Hamid Reza Ebrahimi was born Abadan in the South West of Iran in 1970. He was inspired by his uncle who was a Master Islamic Calligrapher. Hamid studied calligraphy at the Shiraz Branch of the Iranian Calligrapher's Association in 1984. Upon graduation, Hamid joined the Association as an instructor, and it was there that he met Master Mojtaba Malekzadeh.
Hamid also studied the Gothic hand from books introduced to him by his Master. In 1997, he began teaching both Copperplate and Gothic scripts. Hamid achieved accolades with certified distinction for both Copperplate and Gothic scripts in 2006 from the United Kingdom Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society.
Hamid is an accomplished author with his own published calligraphy book titled “How To Write Copperplate”. Today, many of Hamid's students teach Calligraphy in the cities of Iran. As a professional calligrapher and instructor, Hamid has conducted international workshops on Copperplate and Gothic scripts in Germany, Turkey and Poland.

Upon graduation 1984, Hamid Reza
joined the Association as an instructor,
and it was there that he met master

himself Copperplate from books. He also
studied the Gothic hand from books
introduced to him by the same instructor,
and began teaching both scripts in 1997.
Hamid Reza Ebrahimi took the UK's
Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society's
Certificate of Calligraphy in Copperplate
and Gothic, and achieved a distinction in
both hands in 2006.
