HEBDÓW CHURCH & MONASTERY (ACCOMMODATION)
On the left bank of the Vistula (Wisła) River near the
town of Nowe Brzesko stands a Nobertine abbey
whose history spans 800 years. Nestled in a bend of the
river, the two-towered church and adjoining
southward-facing monastery are hidden amidst trees.

Initially a wooden structure, the site was rebuilt in
stone in the 13th century. Hebdów prospered
throughout the Middle Ages becoming one of the most
important Norbertine abbeys in Poland,
Bohemia and Hungary.
